Junior u16 solo ballroom championship:
st - Evie Rush - Completely dominated the competition, from start to finish. Evie is an exceptional dancer, who performs with such strength and stability that it gives little doubt as to who will be champion. Evie is one of the few solo dancers who dances as if there is a partner with her at all times, as is the level of her balance, flexibility, and power.
nd - Chloe Garner-Smith - Danced very well all day, and deserved her high placing. Chloe has a good topline and frame, with no exaggerated neck or head positions, allowing her to remain balanced and stable.
rd - Annalise Walker - Annalise has a beautiful and immaculate floor presence, and always maintains a confident and pleasant aura throughout her performances. This certainly creates a very positive first impression, which remains with you throughout the competition. In a final situation, with more time to analyse, it is evident that certain fundamentals are not always present, which leads to an uncoordinated look, and also some postural issues. If these can be addressed, Annalise would certainly be a highly successful dancer.
th - Tamzin Barlow - Performed incredibly, and could have finished much higher. Tamzin produced some very exciting dancing, and although smaller in stature, also produced some of the biggest swings on the floor. Tamzin’s upper body usage was also of an extremely high level, which added to the dynamic performance.
th - Eve Richardson - Eve danced an excellent final, which had a nice balance between elegance, and performance. Eve looks incredibly graceful on the floor, and she creates beautiful lines.
th - Zoe Patterson - Gave a very strong performance, particularly in the final. Zoe showed sound mechanics and an excellent leg action, which allowed her to move freely and powerfully across the floor. The upper body could be utilised more, to create more stretch, musicality, and a more dynamic look.
