The Blackpool Gazette reports a milestone in the restoration of the Empress Ballroom as the final two chandeliers have been winched back into place, ready for the Dance Festival. The meticulous renovation, led by Chesholm Lighting, involved stripping, cleaning, and re-wiring the chandeliers, costing over £34,000. This marks the first time since 2017 that all 12 chandeliers are fully restored and operational. The fixtures, dating back to the interwar period, replace the original wartime adaptations.
